Sam & Aimee’s Pre Wedding Shoot took place at Beacon Fell Country Park which is just outside Garstang. They had booked a Sunset shoot, and the weather did not disappoint! It was a simply stunning evening, with the most perfect of clear blue skies and a dramatic sunset which lent a golden glow to the images.
Sam & Aimee started off slightly nervous and self-conscious in front of the camera, but in no time at all they had both relaxed, which led to some great images.
Aimee had had her Wedding Hair and Make-up trials that day, so a few close-ups were an absolute must!
The sunlight was streaming through the canopy filling the forest with a beautiful golden light. To balance out the couple I set up a flash to prevent them being in silhouette, as a bonus I caught this lovely lens flare.
Whilst this image looks super romantic, we really suffered to get it! If you look closely between and around Sam & Aimee you might be able to see the small flying bugs caught in the evening glow. Let me tell you, these little suckers can BITE! Working fast we grabbed this shot and bravely ran away to safety 🙂
At the summit we posed for some shots with views out across the Fylde coast and over towards Morecambe. A slight haze was forming across the fields adding to the beautiful sunset.
Looking the other way we had nothing but clear blue skies for miles.
Back in the forest the light was slipping further and further towards the horizon creating this beautiful side-light, a photographer’s best friend 🙂
Then, with the sun kissing the horizon we made our way back towards the cars and out into a field for some creative sunset shots. Using side-light, silhouette and off-camera flash we created these final three images.
So Sam & Aimee got past the first hurdle of their Wedding Photography by spending some time with their Photographer. We got to know each other in a relaxed environment without the hustle and bustle of the wedding day and this will really show in their final images from the Best Western Garstang Country Hotel
