Alex and Andy – Wyresdale Park, Scorton
Wyresdale Park in Scorton, Lancashire is an absolute hidden gem. Just off the M6 near Lancaster, nestled in the Forest of Bowland, this family-run estate dates back to 1856 but has recently been rebranded, relaunched and promoted as a boutique camping and wedding venue.
Alex and Andy booked me quite a while back and had clear ideas on how they wanted me to approach their day. Discreet but with some of my trademark ‘epic’ portraits. Hold my beer, I’m on this!
The light in the makeup room was divine, the wood panelling and golden lights really made it easy to capture some lovely and relaxed shots.
I got this image by shooting into a mirror frame, through a plant, in the dark. I like it 🙂
Andy was getting ready in one of the Glamping Bell Tents on the other side of the Barn. Dad was on hand to help with the tie.
Clearly my Best Dressed Groom of this season!
Luckily the weather was holding out for the boys as they got ready at the outdoor kitchen area over by the Glamping Tents.
Once into her Mori Lee Wedding Dress Alex made her entrance for her Mum, Dad and Bridesmaids. Yep, Dad cried. A lot.
Andy looked a little nervous waiting for his Bride to arrive.
For those that were there, they will be aware of just how strong the locks are on the toilet doors at Wyresdale Park!
Flowers and venue dressing by Bluebells and Daisies topped off the days presentation beautifully. It was lovely to work with Gemma again.
Down by the Lake at Wyresdale Park, a perfect location for a quick portrait of the Bride and Groom. Two different looks from one location.
The Wyresdale Park wedding barn was looking amazing.
First dance in the Wedding Barn for Alex and Andy, just before their guests joined them on the dancefloor.
The Harlequins were on top form, simply outstanding performers.
One of the final shots of the day. Alex and Andy were keen to get a dramatic portrait. Pretty sure they will be happy with this one 🙂
